The PET Project
Our Goal
FAQ
The PET Project is a personal interest project created by me, Hailey, a seventh grade excel student. It is inspired by my two cats, Gumball and Darwin. I adopted them from a no-kill shelter that I'm trying to partner with, Kitty Angels of CT. The cats bring so much joy to my life, and I want to give other people the chance to experience that too!
The PET Projects goal is to create awareness for animals looking to be adopted, and collect supplies for places that help them. My hope is that it can help animals find loving and caring homes.
What makes this website any different from looking up any adoption site?
First of all, this isn't an adoption site, although parts of this site have links and descriptions for great adoption centers. This site is also a way to read about information on pets. This site also helps gather supplies like food for our partner animal shelters. So what makes it different? I would say that it's because The PET Project works with animal shelters to try to end animal homelessness, and has some fun things to do on the website like the Pet Pics Of The Month!
Where do the donations go?
The donations go to our partners. They are linked on the site at the Partners page if you would like more information on them. The donations we are looking for should be dropped off at the donation boxes (more information on the donation tab), or you can visit an event!
How many animals are homeless?
In the United States alone, around 70 million animals are strays with no home and no one taking care of them. Out of that 70 million, only around 6 to 8 million are put into shelters every year. By donating supplies and/or money to an animal shelter (like our partners) you can help them get resources to save more animals.

Why is it beneficial to be a partner of this website?
One of the main reasons I can think of right away would be advertisement. If you partner with The PET Project, anyone on the site can see your organization. Another reason would be if you are an organization that doesn't have a website. The PET Projects partner page can act as a small website for you, with a description about your organization, and a link to any social medias that you need for your organization! Become a partner by filling out the form on the Partners page (Linked here-> Partners)!
